Project overview

BRUTE is a conceptual hair salon in London inspired by brutalist interiors: concrete, steel, monochrome.

  • I designed a brand identity + social system for a unisex, service-first salon.

  • Scope: logo/wordmark, typography, color, art direction, social templates, service icons, in-store posters, and ad mockups.

  • Goal: make the brand feel premium, minimal, and gender-neutral clean visuals with salon credibility.

Challenges

Stand out in a crowded “luxury salon” market without cliché gold/rose tones.

  • Create a look that feels editorial online but practical in-store (price boards, wayfinding, product shelves).

  • Balance hard materials (concrete) with a warm, human service message.

  • Build a modular content system that works for cuts, color, treatments, and retail in Reels/Stories.

Results

A cohesive identity system (type + grid + contrast photography) that scales from signage to mobile.

  • Social kit: 24 reusable templates (stories, reels covers, promos, service menus) + motion presets for captions.

  • Launch set: out-of-home posters, product feature cards, and a minimal landing layout.

  • Clear tone-of-voice: short, direct, service-led (“CUT / COLOR / CARE”).

  • Visual language that positions BRUTE as editorial, gender-inclusive, and modernready to roll out across channels.
